While new challenges tied to climate change await us, Audi recently unveiled an ambitious plan for the electrification of its vehicles. It didn’t take long for the brand, founded by August Horch many years ago, to get moving on that topic. Consumers already have several electrified options on the menu.
Your Audi Blainville dealership shows you its different electric and hybrid models already on the market, and those that are on the way, in this blog. Also, don’t forget to have a look at our new Audi vehicles in our inventory!
Audi Q3

Audi Q3 TFSI e (UK model)
At the moment, the German car manufacturer, in Canada at least, doesn’t offer an electrified trim for its small Q3. That being said, a plug-in hybrid version is being sold on the other side of the Atlantic. This version gives the vehicle extra power (up to 245 hp), and allows it to have an electric range of up to 50 km.
For now, you can choose between a 40 and a 45 TFSI internal combustion engine. Both versions hit 184 and 228 horsepower respectively. Though it’s not the most powerful option out there, it’s an entry-level model that’s really luxurious, reliable and enjoyable behind the wheel, as it delivers an excellent driving experience.
Audi Q4 e-tron

If you’re looking for an electric Audi SUV at an incredible price, this one might be for you. The Q4 e-tron is nothing less than the most affordable alternative in its segment! Plus, it’s eligible for the government’s EV incentives.
This new compact SUV boasts a high-performance powertrain worthy of the brand, with its 295 horsepower, its 339 lb-ft. of torque and its standard all-wheel drive system. Its two electric motors powered by an 83-kWh battery provides a range of up to 388 km for a single charge.
Inside, the vehicle provides a great cabin with advanced technologies, including an exclusive Sonos sound system.
Maybe you are looking for sportier styling? The Sportback trim is also offered with this electric vehicle. With a roof line that looks like the one of a sports coupe, it will turn heads wherever it is driven. Of course, it means this version is a little more expensive.
Audi Q5

At the moment, the very popular Audi Q5 SUV is available in a plug-in hybrid trim, and although a 100% electric powertrain is not yet available, it’s on the way. The latter’s range is said to be impressive, between 436 and 588 km.
However, the Q5 Hybrid is an excellent choice for those wanting to make a greener (and powerful!) transition. The Q5 combines an electric motor with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine for a combined power of 362 hp and 369 lb-ft. of torque. It also features an electric-only-mode that can deliver a range of up to 37 km.
Based on the Technik trim, it displays a S Line design that is both sporty and elegant. Inside, it brings together all the most advanced innovations of the model.
Audi Q7

For now, Audi opted for a mild hybrid system for this mid-size sports utility vehicle. This system provides a good performance without increasing too much the fuel consumption ratings, as it is often the case in this segment.
Two ICE options with this mild hybrid technology are available: a 45 TFSI engine with 261 horsepower or a 55 TFSI engine with 335 horsepower. With its generous amount of space allowing seating for up to 7 passengers, and its maximum payload capacity of 1971 liters, this SUV is a good choice for large families looking for a high-end vehicle.
Audi Q8

We can tell you about the latest news on Audi electric SUVs: An Audi Q8 e-tron will soon be available! The mid-size SUV segment will soon have its first all-electric model in the category.
This new model is expected for the second quarter of 2023 and will be offered in two trims: the classic SUV or the Sportback coupe.
The technical specifications have not yet been released on this side of the world, but European standards anticipate it could have a range of up to 600 km. As usual, it will be a little less here, but the details are promising. As for the Q8’s power, it is said to be 402 or 496 horsepower with its 106-kWh battery, depending on the trim (Q8 or SQ8).
More details to follow!
e-tron

Are you looking for a model that’s a little bit bigger and more high-performance than the Q4 e-tron? Just try the e-tron. This compact SUV has a 95-kWh battery, which gives it 429 horsepower in its S trim level! In boost mode, torque increases to 717 lb-ft.!
This SUV is compatible with DC fast charging stations, which allows it to go from 5 to 80% charge wise, in only 30 minutes. Other impressive facts about this high-end vehicle are its cutting-edge technologies and truly exceptional fit and finish.
In short, Audi offers an electrified SUV for every taste, whether you are looking for an all-electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid or simply a mild hybrid SUV to get you started.
