Unveiled in August 2020, the new 2022 Audi S3, scheduled for release later this year, is already causing quite a stir! This subcompact Audi sports car, which already offered more than interesting power in its outgoing version, adds another layer and will now feature a powertrain with an output superior to 300 horsepower as well as numerous on-board technologies.

Exterior Design
The new 2022 S3 is as pleasing to the eye as ever, and it still sports the same aggressive and elegant look which characterizes it. Its headlights have been slightly redesigned, while you will also find a large-sized spoiler integrated into the trunk thanks to the aerodynamic package.
And if you add the S3‘s sporty quad exhaust, the distinctive 19-inch wheels as well as the front fascia with its air intakes and its grille sporting the iconic four rings, this new car from Audi has a very stylish silhouette.
Technical Specifications
The new 2022 Audi S3 is more powerful than ever with its latest model. The 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, which used to produce 292 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, is now rated at 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, according to the available information. And thanks to the Audi Drive Select system, you will be able to enjoy a more intense exhaust roar, much to the delight of your own auditory system.
Still paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, this powertrain will allow you to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. Moreover, you’ll still benefit from the powerful quattro all-wheel drive system, which will allow you to exploit the full power of the car, regardless of the conditions.
Additionally, the 2022 S3 features a sport suspension exclusive to this version that allows the vehicle to be lowered by 15 millimeters for an even more dynamic behavior. Audi has also increased the difference between comfort and sporty driving modes, to meet the preferences of a wider range of buyers.
Interior
As refined as ever, the S3‘s interior is also a little more spacious, especially in terms of head space. The front seats have an extra 2 centimetres of headroom, which will be much appreciated by taller drivers.
You will find all the quintessential Audi comfort and refinement, especially when it comes to the sport seats, which are faced with a material made largely from recycled bottles. To achieve this, the bottles were shredded, melted and used as thread to weave the upholstery. The dashboard and centre console, meanwhile, feature new carbon or aluminum accents, depending on the options selected.
Technologies
Lastly, the S3 is outfitted with many of Audi‘s most advanced features and innovations. For example, it will be equipped with a 3rd generation multimedia system that is much more capable than the current version. Indeed, the new iteration offers 10 times the speed of the outgoing system and can contain up to 6 driver profiles. For each profile, you can save the seat position, temperature settings, favourite radio stations and navigation data. The system is accessed via the 10.1-inch display, which also integrates the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces. This means you can enjoy the features of your smartphone while focusing on the road!
As for the dashboard, a 10.25-inch display comes standard. However, you can also opt for Audi‘s virtual cockpit, which increases the screen size to 12.3 inches. Many other on-board technologies, such as wireless charging for your smartphone, head-up display (HUD), a wireless hotspot as well as the ability to use your phone as a digital key can also be found in the cabin of this all-new S3.
Optional premium features include Nappa leather upholstery, a 680-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system and so much more.
Finally, the new S3 offers many advanced safety features, such as Audi Pre-Safe, lane exit warning and pre-collision warning, which are standard. You can also add blind spot monitoring, park assist, adaptive cruise control and rear cross-traffic alert, among other things.
