After the rest of the Ingolstadt-based automaker’s lineup, it’s now the turn of the Audi A3 to get a makeover, as the brand with the four rings has virtually unveiled the fourth iteration of its flagship luxury subcompact in a Sportback version. The latter is the hatchback version of the A3 and is not sold in North America, where Audi currently only offers sedan and convertible versions. However, the new 2021 A3 Sportback gives us a good idea of what the four-door A3 will look like when it’s available here. Audi Blainville, your Audi dealer of choice in the city of the same name, gives you all the details about the new 2021 A3 below!
Even sharper styling to come on the roads of Montreal’s North Shore!
The first thing you’ll notice about the all-new 2021 A3 is its style, which is more expressive and athletic. Even though we’re talking about the 2021 A3 Sportback here, there’s no doubt that it prefigures many of the elements that will be taken up by the Audi sedan based on it, as well as by the A3 Cabriolet, which should also be offered. A large Singleframe grille surrounded by ultra-sharp headlights, curved wings and sculpted sides as well as menacing tail-lights: the new 2021 A3 Sportback is an impressive sight for a subcompact car!
There’s no doubt that the new Audi A3 sedan, as well as its convertible variant, will take up all or a large part of these attributes, from the Laurentians to St-Jerome, for the greatest pleasure of our eyes. So, the fourth generation Audi A3 in Blainville is shaping up to be a great vintage!
Very innovative interior that gives us a glimpse of a very technological Audi A3 to come!
As for the interior, it uses the stylistic codes of the latest Audi productions, with a horizontally styled dashboard. The air vents are rectangular to be consistent with the rest of the interior lines. The design also beautifully integrates the various technologies on board, from the superb 10.1-inch touchscreen to the newly available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
In terms of innovations, the 2021 Audi A3 Sportback will be able to offer a head-up display, while its infotainment system, now in its third iteration, has a processor that’s ten times faster than the outgoing system.
As for the powertrain, three engines have been announced for the old continent. However, they have nothing in common with the 228-hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 258 lb-ft of torque that’s well known here, and that should make a comeback. There’s also talk of electrified variants, perhaps hinting at a new A3 e-tron.
However, Audi Canada hasn’t revealed anything on the arrival of the A3 Sportback, and no details have filtered through as for the 2021 A3 Sedan, as it hasn’t been unveiled yet. However, don’t hesitate to contact one of our Audi Blainville advisors to keep you informed about prices and the exact release date of the 2021 Audi A3 on the North Shore of Montreal!
